The Blue Fin Central and McDowell

Ok, the Blue Fin.  I am not sure what the name is supposed to mean or even if it is supposed to draw me in but some friends insisted on going there for lunch so I figured what the heck.  The first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was full.  This is a good sign and I have been told to never eat anywhere with an empty parking lot.
Its usually empty for a reason. The Blue Fin is a fast food type of chicken bowl place.  These have sprung up all over the place it seems but normally, the food sucks.  So I walk into the Blue Fin and am very unimpressed by the dacor.  Its kind-of ratty and worn.  Clean but nothing special.  I stand in line at the counter and while waiting, look at the menu, which is posted on the wall above the counter.  Everything is clearly posted with pricing as well.  The lady who took my order was friendly enough and there was another lady who was working the drive though.  The drive through lady got my drink as soon as she heard me order it.  Nice and well oiled system they have going here.  I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl with just a touch of spice for heat.  They bought out my food to me which is a nice touch for a fast food joint.  The chicken was shaved giving it a different texture than most teriyaki bowls I have had in the past.  The first thing I noticed once I started to dig in was the huge amount of chicken they put in the bowl.  I mean it was loaded with chicken and there is no denying it was hard to mix it with the rice due to the extreme amount of meat in there.  Ahhhh....this is going to be a good lunch.  The chicken bowl had the perfect amount of spice, the perfect amount of teriyaki sauce and was large enough that I had to force feed myself just to finish it.  What a refreshing change in a fast food place.Pricing was about what I expected to pay for a teriyaki bowl.  The total bill was 7.39 for the chicken bowl and a meduim drink.  Realistically, if I were not such a glutton, I could have eaten half and saved half for another lunch.Over all this place is getting 2 thumbs up from me and I strongly suggest you give them a try.
