Wow. I am actually going to post about a Chili Cheese dip. Here is the reality though, if you don't want to read it, get off my page
My wife made a Chili-Cheese dip for the Super Bowl yesterday and all I can say is WOW, I was impressed. It had some flavors in there that I had no idea existed. It was really good. Basically it was some beanless chili with cream cheese but man, she must have put something extra in there as I just could not stop eating it. It's the first time she made this dip and I hope she makes it again. I took some Frito Brand corn chips and dipped away.
Now I know there tends to be alot of discussion on which chip to use with what dip and alot of people like to use a tortilla chip, usually salted, to dip a chili-cheese dip with but they are narrow-minded folks. A tortilla chip is good for salsa and, perhaps even a yogurt dip of some sort but when it comes to a chili-cheese dip, corn chips are they only way to go. There is just something about the flavor of a corn chip that goes perfectly with a chili-cheese dip. Corn chips tend to maintain the crispiness through out the dipping process. Frito makes a pretty good brand of corn chip and they, most likely, have a lock on the corn chip market. I really like to buy local and think global but in this case, I cannot think of one local company who makes a decent corn chip. Heck, I can't think of a company who makes corn chip locally at all. Business idea for a small local company?
